I laboratori furono costruiti tra il 1905 e il 1907 e negli anni hanno raccolto una preziosa serie di dati storici. Inoltre, dal 2005 sono in corso delle attivit\u00e0 di ricerca sulle interazioni specifiche tra neve, suolo e vegetazione, con un particolare focus sulle dinamiche del carbonio e dell\u2019azoto nel suolo. Sono inoltre in corso delle analisi sulla composizione chimica delle acque dei laghi di alta quota e delle caratteristiche delle deposizioni atmosferiche.
