L\u2019ambiente rappresenta bene il piano montano alpino e subalpino ed \u00e8 caratterizzato da una ricca diversit\u00e0 geomorfologica e di uso del suolo.  La zonazione altitudinale crea una grande variet\u00e0 di ambienti che ha premesso di studiare la qualit\u00e0 delle acque, le relazioni fra variabili abiotiche e caratteristiche chimiche dei suoli e della soluzione circolante in ambiente forestale, e la chimica della neve. Da 2006, in un campo neve a quota 1800 m, si svolgono periodiche indagini sulle caratteristiche fisiche e chimiche del manto nevoso. Sono inoltre state svolte analisi chimiche delle acque nei laghi presenti nel vallone della Barma, di origine glaciale e disposti secondo un gradiente altitudinale. Dal 2014 al 2016 sono state svolte anche indagini sulle soluzioni presenti nel suolo.     <\/p>        <p style=\"text-align:center\">      <img decoding=\"async\"
