Il sito di ricerca si trova in una pecceta montana ad alto fusto all\u2019interno della Foresta Regionale Demaniale \u201cBagni di Masino\u201d, nel comune di Val Masino (SO). A met\u00e0 degli anni \u201990 del secolo scorso inizia il monitoraggio delle foreste relativamente al loro stato di salute rispetto alle piogge acide. Vengono monitorate le condizioni delle chiome degli alberi, le deposizioni atmosferiche sotto chioma e in campo aperto, le soluzioni circolanti nel suolo e le condizioni dell\u2019ecosistema. Vengono raccolti anche dati meteorologici e sulla struttura forestale. <\/p>
