Descrizione sito: <\/b>

La Tenuta presidenziale di Castelporziano si estende dalla periferia occidentale di Roma lungo il sistema dunale compreso tra Ostia e Pratica di Mare, a circa 20 Km dal centro della capitale. Il sito \u00e8 caratterizzato da una fascia costiera con formazioni dunali scarsamente elevate (dune recenti), intervallate da bassure (lame) e da dune antiche che formano un terrazzo costiero prevalentemente pianeggiante. La parte interna presenta invece dei rilievi alti fino a 78 m sul livello del mare. Le attivit\u00e0 di ricerca e monitoraggio nell\u2019area hanno avuto inizio gi\u00e0 negli anni \u201980 del secolo scorso ed \u00e8 possibile individuare 6 macroaree di ricerca: clima e atmosfera, risorse idriche e geomorfologia, biodiversit\u00e0 vegetale, biodiversit\u00e0 e gestione della fauna, gestione forestale, fascia costiera. <\/p>
